Meet 2-4 times per year to discuss the intellectual, social, and cultural challenges of students in the first year transition |

Assist in the development of approaches that are intentional, explicit, and based on a clear philosophy and rationale that meet institutional objectives and reflect a consensus of campus constituencies |

Develop "Hallmarks of Excellence" for First Year students that can be supported by FYP but initiated throughout Schools and Colleges, and across Divisions of the University |

Support First Year Programs by ensuring that organizational structures provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach o the first year |

Provide feedback as to the appropriate qualitative and quantitative assessments to evaluate and understand the impact of institutional policies, strategies, and interventions on First Year students |
|
Advocate for the Office of First Year Programs and First Year students |
|
Divide into sub-groups as needed to study particular issues and make recommendations |
